New film in 2022: Hole in the Head
Hole in the Head is a new feature film and the culmination of 3 years of work, from script and development to shooting safely throughout 2020 lockdowns and beyond into 2021 with an international cast and crew. As post-production comes to an end, I look forward to sharing it with audiences in 2022. Stay tuned!
Film critic and filmmaker Fergus Daly writes: "In Ireland, Dean Kavanagh, our most exciting young filmmaker, completed his latest feature, Hole in the Head (2022), a sophisticated and darkly comic exploration of the meeting point of traumatised memory and image technologies that recalled Atom Egoyan’s great 80’s films like Family Viewing (1987) and Speaking Parts (1989)."
